the titles of books on the top of my bookshelf now read:
'1q84',
'alice in wonderland' 'captivating' 'the virgin suicides', 'the outsiders', 'the girl with the dragon tattoo'
with 'norwegian wood'
'the memory keeper's daughter' 'looking for alaska'
'where the river ends', in 'the secret garden', in the 'millions' of 'paper towns'
'at first sight', it is 'a walk to remember'
but actually this is like 'the hunger games';
'bones to ashes',
'the sense of an ending'
so here's 'the unwritten rule', 'notes from underground':
'don't you forget about me'—'the great gatsby'—and
'the perks of being a wallflower' because
'both ways is the only way i want it'
even though 'freedom' of 'wuthering heights' is
'extremely loud and incredibly close'
like 'mao's last dancer' and 'kafka on the shore'
